Peter here. Thanks Lambert for your treasure trove of School pics. The tall teacher at the back is Mrs. Arlick. She had a very pretty daughter named Annette, who was in my class! The last teacher sitting down on the left is Miss. Verghese, History teacher. The otheres can't be identified.

Philip, you are right on both counts! I remember Miss. Shirley Thomas. She left Stanes to get married. On her last day in class, we worried her to sing a song. She had a lovely voice and sang two songs from Chemeen - "Saagara" and "Kadarinakkara ponoore". Kali and I provided the drum beat rythm on our desks!
As for Annette, I had a crush on her in 5th. std. I think George was eyeing her too!

Miss T and Miss V were good friends and rarely did I see them separately.
There were many young teachers from Kerala who started off their careers in Stanes,courtesy Miss Cherian. Miss Joseph ,later Mrs.Abraham , was also recruited by her. The one very small black sheep among the lot was Kallan /Kullan .
