One unchanging landmark on Mount Road


Signs of bad times - a part of the pork stall is now a scooter workshop

I remember the good old pork stall from the days of my youth! I remember seeing rows of wide mouth bottles lined up on the shelves inside with something white inide. When I enquired of the pork seller, I was told it was pig's ghee! Now I'm not sure if this ghee was made from pig's milk or pig's lard! There was no scooter shop then. Still the same zinc sheet structure! Hope the scooter shop owner is neither a Muslim nor a Jew!

No, it is the lady's son, called friends Auto Garrage, now his son is also part of the mechanics hands
